Reclaiming the Streets

The alleyway between Connaught Junior School and Bagshot Infant School is used daily by scores of school children, parents and other residents. As such it is an important thoroughfare linking the village. There is an increasing problem of dog mess in the alleyway and generally the route has been allowed to slip into a poor state of repair encouraging further graffiti and vandalism. Children walking to and from schools regularly step in dog mess and carry it on their shoes into the schools creating a health hazard.
All-in-all it’s hardly an inspiration to the children’s academic school day or a positive asset for our community...BUT IT COULD BE...
If you’d like to get involved in changing this, please contact Maria at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You can also sign an e-petition asking Surrey Heath Borough Council to work with our community to make the alley a better place to walk: petitions.surreyheath.gov.uk/DogmessBagshot. The petition closes on 29th April 2011.
